Description

History and info : a study was made about Asian countries that needed help and were easy to access, Philippine was chosen on 2010 to receive a mission and after months of study we decided to start a shelter for girls, after 5 month of training in a 30 years old filipino foundation, we started processing our legal documents.

Our NGO started operating since 2011, since opening we catered 24 girls ( some of them are still in the foundation (16 girls), other have return to their families), our foundation cater children who suffered from physical or sexual abuse, as well as street children, when we started we also had cases of children who were abandoned or maltreated by families.

all our kids are endorse to us by the government or other NGO’s working in the same field, we don’t accept self referrals and we don’t pic kids from the street.

our NGO receive regular inspection by Department of social welfare and development for the renewal of our licence

Services provided:
our children receive all basic human needs :
food – shelter – education- health care- Clothing
aside from physiological therapy and tend to their law cases (if ever they have field a case against the perpetrator)

Other services:
1- we also serve squatter areas near to our community – natives in the mountains – minors in prisons
2- more than a year ago we also started a new project (outside Manila), a center for out of school teens ( providing English courses) and working on providing vocational courses accredited by the government (still preparing legal documents for that) aside from computer courses side by side with spiritual and value formations activities .

Future plans:

we are hoping to have a boys shelter, and more community centers, also if we could move our girls shelter to a bigger lot area , as our shelter capacity is max 18 girls. ( we don’t have room for activities- prayer room – counseling room) as the shelter is not big enough for that.
